The Friedrich Ebert Stiftung Foundation, FES, and Service d’Appui aux Initiatives Locales de Développement, SAILD, organised a workshop to equip journalists with a good understanding of the challenges of climate negotiations at the international, regional and national level in order for them to better do good media coverage of COP26 and other climate-related issues.
The main aim of the webinar was to share results obtained by the African Forest Forum during the last two years from its work on strengthening sustainable management of Africa’s forests and trees outside forests and the role they play in meeting global and national climate change mitigation goals.
Nestlé, the world’s largest food processing company, has unveiled a detailed roadmap of how it will contribute to fighting climate change.
The Roadmap, unveiled in an online press event with journalists from several countries, outlined how Nestlé will focus on supporting regenerative agriculture, making its products environmentally-friendly, and switching completely to renewable energy. This, the company says, will be done by redoubling efforts to combat climate change.
