Hearts FC midfielder, Arnaud Djoum, is scheduled to return to the international scene after an impressive performance upon return from a long term injury.
Djoum has been named in the 23 man shortlist of the indomitable lions in their 2019 AFCON qualifier against Morocco on November, 16, and a friendly against Brazil on November, 20.
After damaging his Achilles tendon back in February which kept him out for more than a year from the beautiful game, his long awaited return came in September when he was included for the first time during Hearts’ 4-1 thrashing of St Mirren.
The former Roda JC player made his first international appearance back in September 2017 against the Super Eagles of Nigeria that ended in a tie.
The number 10 for Hearts FC netted his first goal since his comeback getting the opener for his side during the 2-1 win at home over Aberdeen in the first half of the game.
The midfielder was part of the squad that won the last African Nations Cup in 2017 with the indomitable Lions in Gabon. Since his transfer from Polish side Lech Poznan three years ago has remained a regular at Tynecastle.
With this fine form, Former Dutch international Clarence Seedoof now head coach of the indomitable lions of Cameroon included Djoum in his squad for the 2019 AFCON qualifier and friendly with Brazil.
Cameroon is currently top of Group B in the 2019 AFCON qualifiers, a point ahead of their next opponents Morocco.
