Members of the Fako Lawyers Association, FAKLA, Friday, June 26, stormed the Buea Judicial Police Station, condemning the summoning of their colleague over a case that was resolved last year.
We learnt that the two advocates were summoned over a matter that concerns a brawl between the lawyers and some pupil Magistrates on internship at the Buea High Court.
The Pupil Magistrates reportedly occupied the bench which the lawyers were supposed to sit on and all attempts to get them to leave the bench instead resulted in a stand-off.
However, it only took the intervention of the senior magistrates to resolve the fracas. Meanwhile, members of FAKLA were stunned when the duo was summoned before the Judicial Police on Friday to answer questions on a matter they considered to have been laid to rest.
The matter was however, adjourned to Friday, July 3.
