The road to Egypt is now sure for the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon, who will battle to retain the African Cup of Nations title they grabbed in Gabon two years back.

Before this final list of 23, the Head Coach dropped six players, they include; Petrus Boumal, Paul George Ntep, Salli Edgar, Jerome Oungene, Jean Pierre Nsame and Fabrice Olinga, while Tristan Dingome and Jean Charles Casteleto left due to injury concerns.

 From a group of 29 players, the Dutch tactician, Clarence Seedorf had the mandate to select just 23 for the biggest soccer jamboree in Africa.

A total of three goal keepers, seven defenders, five midfielders and nine attackers were retained to defend the colours of Cameroon at the 2019 AFCON in Egypt.

Complete list of players;

Vincent Aboubakar was part of the provisional team despite being out of action due to a knee injury he suffered in September last year. With this lengthy spell on the side-lines, Cameroon’s Dutch tactician has expressed worries over the attacker’s fitness. With this, Aboubakar, scorer of the winning goal for Cameroon in Gabon during the AFCON in 2017 will not be part of the 23-man shortlist, same with Moumi Ngamaleu alongside 17-year-old teenage Steve Mvoue and a host of junior players.
