The battle for a prize (FCFA 300,000) has brought teams from neighbouring villages of Likoko Membea to converge on the GPS field to showcase their football prowess.

The maiden edition of the Sango and Baby (S&B) Nkwanlanga Inter-quarter began July 14, 2019. The tourney is patronised by 10 teams from the Likoko Membea Village, Bokwango, Bwassa/Likombe, and GRA (Government Residential Area).

Speaking to Atlantic Chronicles about the tourney, Joseph Linonge said, “This tournament is to promote the youths during these holidays, to encourage them to prepare for back to school and most especially to encourage the youths of Membea village who love football not to give up. I may not be present because I have to return to my duty, coaching the U13 of one of Saudi Arabia topsides, Altaawon FC in Saudi Arabia, but I have left everything in the hands of competent people who will keep the competition running till the end.” He added

The tournament will be at its peak in the days ahead as the knockout stage draws will be made public after the Champions of the league are known.

It is worth noting that the organiser also sponsored the female category of the tournament, so there are two Categories sponsored by S&B Nkwanlanga, scheduled to end on September 1, 2019.
