Cotonsport Unveils New Players

On Thursday, September 3, Cotonsport of Garoua, 15-times champions of Cameroon publicly displayed her latest acquisitions in the player market. President Fernand Sadou’s management unveiled 10 new members of the Club, to the public at the Club’s headquarters.

New Signings:

20-year-old Ebanza Dzo Ferdel Archange and 23-year-old Oukoumou Obimpat Jean Rosi, all from Congo were awarded two-year-deals. The same two-year contract was handed to Abdoulaye Yacoub from Chad. The lone Cameroonian from the lot is Sanda Dim Franklin from Ngaoundere FC with a three-year contract.

Congolese duo Ebanza Dzo Ferdel Archange, Oukoumou Obimpat Jean Rosi and Chadian Abdoulaye Yacoub were unveiled at the event, with all three recruits handed two-year-deals each.

The Club also extended the contract of veteran forward Kamilou Daouda and Banga Bidjeme for one year while forwards; Goni Ali and Areina Ngueme were handed three-year extension.

The ceremony continued with the promotion of three young stars from the Club’s nursery. Eric Moursou comes in as a midfielder, Aboubakar Siddik joins the Defenders while Kaiba Djawal integrated into the senior team as an offensive midfielder.

Cotonsport has thus recorded 17 new signings, and extended the contracts of six players, promoting three others to the first team from the Club’s nursery.

Coach Soulemanou Aboubakar’s Cotonsport is well underway with preparations for the resumption of the 2020-2021 season with the 20 clubs expected to grace the Elite One Championship.
