Before the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, Cameroon was already reeling in the throes of internal strife, characterised by five major crises: Boko Haram insurgency in the Far North Region; repeated cross-border attacks perpetrated on the population in the East Region by rebels from the Central African Republic (CAR); post-presidential electoral upheavals in the Littoral, Centre, West, South and East Regions; and the on-going armed conflict rocking the North West and South West Regions of the country.

Over 100 youths organisations from 40 countries across the globe have been drilled on peacebuilding initiatives and methodologies.
This was during a three-month workshop organised under the theme “The Role of Youth in Pandemic Recovery and Sustainable Future.” During the discussion-based workshop, the youth organisations were lectured on diverse ways to solve social problems, achieve peace, and realize youth rights. -
