After a winless and undefeated run in the Southwest Regional Championship, the commandos of President Valery Kadji and Coach Enang N. Severin, Buea United FC (BU) finally got their first victory of the season, by whitewashing the academicians of Future Soccer Stars Academy (FUSSA) 4-0.
The Foot soldiers of Coach Enang were so determined to get their first victory, and this came in the 12th minute when Emerant Motutu Ndive opened scores for the Mountain boys. Three minutes later Zebedee doubled the lead for BU. The Academicians tried to contain the Buea Boys and held them till the end of the first half at 2-0.
In the Second Half, the Mountain boys began knocking for more goals, and this came through Thomas Likafi who got the third and Bosten Mofa also converted his chance to make it Buea United FC 4-0 FUSSA.
Speaking to Atlantic Chronicles after the game, the youngest player of the encounter from FUSSA 14-year-old Trezeget, said: “I am so happy to have played this game, it is not my first time, and coming from the bench, I just came to help my team in any way I could.”
To Buea United FC Coach, Enang Severin, “It is a joy for a Coach to win a match, but this was special because we have been running after a win since last season. It is God’s doing and by His grace, that the management and players achieved this. Now we need to repeat this in the next game so that we finish the first round with 9points and I trust the Lord for more.” He added
