Everyday People

I was arrested on September 22 (2017), in relation to the protest. I didn’t do anything wrong. I was taken from my home. Officers came to my house that fateful evening, threw teargas through the window, as I ran out for air to breath, I was arrested and imprisoned until December 14 2018.

Fonakem Theodore.

Finally God favoured me. Words can’t express how I feel gaining back my freedom. I did not expect to be freed, because it has been more than four months and I wasn’t called to court.
Life in prison! Just from the word prison, you can tell. It wasn’t easy to live in a congested environment. It is hell in there…it is really hell, it is hell.
I am an IT engineer I worked and lived in Buea. Now with the ongoing situation and conditions out there, I just want to have a cool head, I will think about resuming work, but for now, I just want to celebrate my freedom, and recover health-wise because I have some health issues. In prison I developed some health difficulties.
